Scott Alan Kuykendall

Born in Dallas, Texas, 1959, then at the age of four relocated to Arlington Heights, Illinois, a suburban neighborhood of Chicago - and resided there for a period of 20 years. In 1983, relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico to attend graduate school in studio painting. Initial art work and artistic career began in 1974 and continued with the formal study of art and art history starting in 1978. Formal studies culminated in a Master of Art degree from the University of New Mexico in 1987. Since that time Kuykendall has worked making fine art paintings and murals. His paintings explore the beauty, spirit, and magic of the contemporary southwestern landscape.
